“KUALA LUMPUR: Just as the crowd of 6,000 hip-hop fans were getting restless after waiting an hour and a half for their star to appear, energetic rapper Kanye West burst onto stage and went straight into the hit song Diamonds from Sierra Leone.

The six-time Grammy-award-winning rapper and record producer then kept the crowd at Stadium Negara pumping all the way, not skipping a beat as he performed hits like Gold Digger and Touch the Sky.
Opening local acts Two Phat and the Kartel Gang warmed the audience up for the first half hour, before West, 29, took over for the next hour and 15 minutes, performing hits from his albums The College Dropout and Late Registration.
Fans sang along to Through the Wire, Jesus Walks and Heard ‘em Say, the artiste’s all-time favourite song.”
