Brazil’s famed furniture designers Estudio Campana, founded by brothers Humberto and Fernando Campana, have collaborated with Lacoste on a collection of polo tees. The design is based on their famed Alligator Chair (2004), which takes inspiration from the way alligators pile up onto one another in mud beds during the dry season.

There are a few variations, with the general version seeing a small cluster of Lacoste’s iconic crocodile logo piled up where the logo is usually located. The limited version, features a whole load of croc-clusters spread over the polo and is available in 125 pieces for both men and women.

The most exclusive version sees the whole garment being swarmed by the croc logos like a plague of locusts. Only up to 12 per gender will be available on a made-to-order basis. Both limited versions are produced with the Coopa-Roca organisation, who provide work for the craftswomen and seamstresses in the underprivileged Rocinha Favela district of Rio de Janerio.

The Campanas x Lacoste Polo T-Shirt collection is available now at Lacoste boutiques and corners across Malaysia.
