The visible air bubble has to be one of Nike’s most important accomplishments in terms of marketing. Although kicks such as the Air Force 1 had air inside, people wanted to “see” what was going on. The tremendous success of the visible air series played a critical role in the sports brand wars and influencing public perception.
Nike pays homage to the Air Max runners with this pack of Air Force 1’s. The AM90 AF1 Premium Low draws upon the classic infrared colourway and has mesh on the tongue. The AM95 AF1 Supreme Low employs the neon green colour scheme, has a remade tongue and 3M accents. The AM97 AF1 Lux Low is not pictured but features a unique tongue design and visible air bubbles all around the midsole.
The Air Max inspired AF1 pack will drop at selected stockists throughout South East Asia in June.
