Inquiringmind Magazine has an interesting feature about legendary Nike designer, Tinker Hatfield. Celebrating the launch of the Air Jordan XX3, the feature takes a look back into the often cited moment in time where Michael Jordan, dissatisfied with the company, was a mere inch away from leaving to join another brand. Then, under extreme pressure, Hatfield produced a sample of the black/cement Air Jordan III’s - and the rest from then, was history.
“To put things in perspective, if Phil Knight was God and Michael Jordan was Jesus, then Tinker Hatfield had to be Moses, and all he was asked to do was part the red sea.”
