Despite the title, Bondage has nothing to do with the infamous fetish and revolves around the strong bond that a group of close-knit individuals share. The 1998 drama is set in Tokyo, during the 90s, and tells a tale of sorrow, murder, loyalty and sacrifices. Protagonist Takaaki Ise hides a dark past, that was brought upon by even darker circumstances, and his past eventually catches up with him. He chooses to sacrifice all to protect the people he loves.
