More Tomato Fight after the Jump
adidas Country 73 - RM349.90
Originally launched in 1973, adidas Originals have shifted the running and training shoe to incorporate the new adidas theme “Flavours of the Worldâ€. Highlighted here in the dense of tomato, the new Country 73 has a graphically assorted tongue that describes La Tomatina; the world’s biggest tomato fight through the representation of a tomato and a paintball mask.

The sock liner is emblazoned with the “Flavours of the World†logo and small graphics of tomatoes’ are visible across the shoe. Tapered to bulge towards the toe, Country 73 is iconic to the representation of La Tomatina and quintessentially forms the bond between shoe and history. The mix of suede and leather gives off a blend of subtle character while the orange colored ankle lining creates the followed through definition of this symbolic shoe.
adidas ZX9000 – RM509.90
Originating in the 80s, the adidas ZX8000, a predecessor of the 9000 series was among the most popular shoes of the ZX series. The holographic tongue, padded nylon upper and vibrant colors became visionary foresight that took the ZX 9000 to greater heights. Now stamped with the ‘Flavours of the World’ logo, the new ZX 9000 is equally stunning with simplistic tomato icon designs that run from the sides of the shoe right to the toe!
What’s enviable is the tongue that displays a crash helmet of sorts crossed with snippets of the tomato icon which also holds the tomato design all through the tongue. The padding seen throughout the shoe is vibrant and holds the ZX series in a class of its own. Other tomato references can also be seen in the lacelock and the inner part also includes cracked black leather, giving an authentic taste to this trainer.
