Classic American footwear-makers Red Wing have teamed up with New York label Nom de Guerre to produce the Trench Protection Boot, made of waterproof nubuck and featuring Red Wing’s white Traction Tred sole and Goodyear welt. The boot is part of Nom de Guerre’s Collection Number 7, titled “The World as Will and Idea”, that takes inspiration from the military war theatre in Europe that operated during World War II.

Since Red Wing was the manufacturer of standard issue boots for the American army during the wars, it makes sense that Nom de Guerre partnered with them – it also doesn’t hurt that they have a reputation for making extremely nice boots. UK-based online webstore Oki-Ni are the only third-party stockists of the boots outside of the Nom de Guerre store in New York, so log on fast as supply is limited.
