We’re pretty used to Nike mashing together some of their classic kicks to create new looks, and as of late we’re seeing kicks such as the Air Max 90 and Cortez being updated with new technology to roll with the times, but these new Terminator Hybrids do things a little different and boast a complete overhaul. The new sneaker features elements of Free and ACG design, resulting in a remix of the classic basketball kicks that is geared towards all-terrain usage.
The shift in functionality is supported by the use of the company’s highly flexible Free midsole combined with a high-traction rubber outsole for a more secure grip, whilst the uppers feature a mixture of rugged materials and additional stitching for extra toughness. The use of a neoprene collar and tongue has also made the overall silhouette much slimmer than the original Terminator.
As with much of the ACG line, it’s pretty much an acquired taste, but it’s hard to deny that Nike have done a great job of creating a “new” pair of kicks that’s loaded up with tech, yet looks good as well. Check out more colourways after the jump.
The Nike Terminator Hybrid is available now at selected Nike stockists across South East Asia.
