Y-3’s Honja High literally went to the chopping block, and the result is this low-cut version that blends sophisticated looks with a low-profile silhouette. We feel that the textured 3-stripes help give these the extra pop that many other similar high-fashion-esque slim kicks lack. If dark tones arent your thing this season, there will also be orange and white colourways available sometime in the near future.

Honeyee has just put up their latest feature, which revolves around esteemed designer Kazuki Kuraishi’s contribution to the adidas Originals by Originals (Also known as ObyO) project; they also managed to rope in British music icon and long time adidas supporter Ian Brown to model the goods.

Kuraishi’s blends contemporary design with the more technical aspects of sportswear, such as waterproof zippers, bonding and taping to create wearable streetwear. The casual looking pieces stays more true to the roots than Alyasha Moore’s Americana infused works, whilst both are a stark contrast to the flamboyant high-fashion like designs of Jeremy Scott. The adidas Originals by Originals Spring/Summer ‘09 collection offers a total of 64 apparel pieces and 24 kicks and will be available at selected stockists across South East Asia from February 2009 - stay tuned for further information.

What better way to celebrate getting an adidas SB account than to hit them up for a skate event? And that’s exactly what the Preduce guys did, a whole day of non-stop skating at The Ramp, Bangkok, that drew over 50 skaters to battle it out for cash and adidas prizes. 10 hours of continuous skating in all sorts of directions and areas, if you think it’s difficult trying to keep track of everything, try shooting and avoiding getting run over. Anyhow, props to the Preduce crew for pulling off everything smoothly.

Although the availability of adidas SB footwear and apparel is nothing new in the region, the dedicated accounts offer a more complete range that cater specifically towards skaters. Zone5 in Malaysia just got their adidas SB account as well and are awaiting their stock to arrive any time now - we hope adidas Malaysia has a similar event lined-up for our skaters sometime in the future.

adidas recently unveiled their upcoming collection that celebrates and reflects decades of the brand’s rich heritage and lifestyle credentials over the Milan Fashion week with an exciting House Party Fashion show. 2009 marks the big year for adidas as they celebrate their 60 years of Soles and Stripes.

We were invited to their media showcase in Milan to preview their exciting Spring/Summer collection. The venue hosted the media to preview their upcoming collection, current AZX consortium range and an adidas art gallery.  A lots of interesting range have been unveiled such as the VESPA range (shown below), vintage pack, new range of adiGRUN, Originals store exclusive and many more.

As for now, we were told to give our readers a sneak peek into the near future. Do check back daily as the official story on these releases will be rolled out very soon.

Lifelounge and adidas got together to publish the book All Day I Dream About Sneakers, which revolves around the surreal looking creations of a fictional sneaker designer named Herr Fritz Träumer, who dedicated his life to creating the most original sneakers on the planet. In spring/summer 2009 adidas Originals will unveil a fresh collection that celebrates and reflects decades of the brand’s rich heritage and lifestyle credentials. It marks the 60th anniversary of the iconic 3-Stripes mark introduced by company founder Adi Dassler. For consumers “60 Years of Soles and Stripes” means a year-long celebration and product introductions that has something for everyone.

Streething is honoured to be invited to witness of their innovative presentation at Milan Fashion that truly represents the brand is all about – Celebrating Originality. The whole runway show was turned into a “house party” which allocated different rooms for providing sneak preview of the future releases. A two-floor stage show installation built up as an enormous house brings the party to life, hosting all the different product themes and spring/summer 2009 concepts that make up the Trefoil brand such as the anniversary range “60 Years of Soles and Stripes”. Their upcoming special range include of iconic style footwear and apparel products.

One of the most interesting new men’s sub-collection is the collaboration with Italian pop icon scooter manufacturer VESPA, it is two iconic brands that come together for a unique partnership with products referencing to classic men’s looks, colours and designs. We have been told to watch out for full range of adidas x VESPA comes next Spring/Summer.

Aside from the groundbreaking collection, adidas managed to invite their very own legendary Stan Smith along with other industry partners as well as fashion editors from all around the world to attend the launch. Soon after the fashion show was over,  everyone was ushered to the open bar after the show to party, mingle and people watch.

It was an unforgettable night and big thank to adidas South East ASia for giving us an opportunity to witness such grand and glamorous launch in Milan. Watch out for HOUSE PARTY coming to the major cities of South East Asia – Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Singapore early next year.

The new range will be available at adidas Originals stores as well as selected sneaker and fashion doors all around the world starting in January 2009
