This May,  Robert Downey Jr. will be reprising his role as Tony Stark for the new Iron Man movie. Marvel has just released a new trailer in High-Definition, which reveals some new characters as well as throwing in lots of teasers for the action sequences and special effects.

Having supported alternative and indie acts throughout the globe, UK based Club Koko will be launching the Koko Asia division this coming Friday at Barsonic. The objective is to provide a platform for local artists around the region. Get ready for a dizzy indie night as there’ll be live music performance courtesy of various acts, with the highlight being a DJ set by Simon Subsonic. Also, if you reach before 10pm, you stand a chance in winning a trip for two to Club Koko UK in London.

The Koko Asia Launch Party will start at 9pm on June 5th at Barsonic, Zouk Club KL, 113 Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Admission is RM20 for girls and RM30 for guys (Inclusive of one drink), whilst Barsonic Facebook Group members get in for free before 11pm.

Skate video Sambai by Preduce Films will be premiering at Barsonic this coming weekend, with music courtesy of our local boys from Twillight Actiongirl. There will also be a lucky draw with loads of Nike goodies to be won. Do take note that registration closes at 10pm, so make sure to reach early for some free beer courtesy of Heineken.

The Preduce skate team will also be doing a skate demo on Sunday at the Shah Alam Extreme Park. There are freebies to be given away by the good people from Preduce and beverages will be sponsored by Red Bull. So even if you don’t skate, just come along and join in the fun with the Bangkok peeps and maybe you’ll get to learn a trick or two – which may be skate related or not.

It seems that Nike SB is setting themselves up for a huge debacle, so if you’ve two minutes to spare take a look at the trailer for their upcoming production.

Who needs a Nintendo DS or PSP when you have one of these? The FC Mobile II plays all your old 8-Bit Nintendo cartridges from back in the day, and is even able to output them to your new 50″ LCD TV to play classics such as Duck Hunt, Donkey Kong and the original Super Mario.

Granted that there are numerous methods to play such games on the PC, Wii, Game Boy and umpteen other formats, hardcore retro gaming fans with a stash of NES cartridges from the 80s will probably want to check this out just for the fun of it. And for those who don’t know what a NES cart looks like, it’s that huge block sticking out from the back of the FC Mobile.

Yes, the games alone are bigger than your PSP AND Nintendo DS combined, you kids have it good …

This Saturday, Lapsap aka DJ Blink and DJ XU will release their first ever mix, titled “Lapsap Fruity CD – Durian and Mangosteen”. The track list hasn’t been revealed yet, but we guess it’ll a strong mixture of electro volts, heavy basslines, erratic indie, messy mash-ups and possibly some old-school cantopop ballad thrown in for good measure.

The launch party will also see the Lapsap boys go where few local DJs dare to and play a marathon 4-hour set, which they plan to do at least once a month now. Anyhow, Durian and Mangosteen will be a double-disc special and come with two button-badges, so for RM33 show some support this Saturday and leave the torrenting strictly for porn – see you all there!

This coming Sunday, Palate Palette will once again play host to the bi-monthly Lapsap Junyard BBQ Sale. Al lthe vendors have agreed to donate 10% of their earning from the day, and Lapsap will be donating RM10 for every logo tee they sell.
