Mark Nagata and Max Toy Company will be releasing a series of ‘Super Deformed’ figures based on the Captain Maxx and alien foes line. The figures – that take inspiration from the cult ‘Kaiju’ genre of monsters – measure three to five inches tall and come packed in a polybag with header card.
Following the previous Astro Boy ‘Sleep Chamber’ MMS vinyl figure by Hot Toys comes this new version in 1/6 scale complete with full articulation. Based on the movie released in 2009, the figure measures nine inches in height and features all the details of the cartoon character, including illuminated eyes and interchangeable arm cannons and rocket boots. It is expected to drop somewhere around the fourth quarter of this year.
In conjunction with the opening of their new concept store in Taiwan, denim label Levi’s has teamed up with Medicom to release a limited edition 1000% Be@brick. The toy is wrapped in black denim fabric and features the classic Levi’s leather patch. Only five pieces have been produced and will be raffled off to customers who spend a minimum of NTD5,000 at the new store.

This time, the figure is a collaboration with Japanese interior designing firm Wonderwall, whose work includes design duties for all of Bape’s stores. Here’s a look at another special version of Mickey Mouse from the ongoing collaboration series between Medicom VCD and Disney, this time mashing the iconic rodent with Tim Burton’s ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ protagonist, Jack Skellington.
The vinyl figure takes the form of Mickey, but features Skellington’s clothes and characteristics. It’s available to pre-order now at Slideshow Collectibles at an asking price of USD74.99.
