NEWS: Wallpaper Retail Directory 2008

Monday, October 13th, 2008

Here’s something for all those questions we get in the forum asking for places to hit up whilst travelling: Wallpaper’s Retail Directory 2008. The iconic fashion, art, design and lifestyle magazine has updated it’s guide with more write-ups, pictures and details on their favourite retail spots around the globe. Although the directory provides invaluable information, by no means is it a comprehensive guide to everything out there. There has been a tonne of updates this year, and we hope next year’s will be even better and hopefully feature more of South East Asia. Put us on the motherf**kin’ map alright?!?

PRIME CUTS: Limited Edt, Queensway - Singapore

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

For this episode of Prime Cuts, we took a stroll over to the OG Limited Edt outlet located at Queensway Shopping Centre and asked the guys to highlight some products for y’all to drool over. One of the current hot properties is the Vans  x Taka Hayashi collaborations, which the shop has received in extremely small quantities. The kicks are a taste of things to come, as the LE crew are planning some sort of event to celebrate the arrival of their Vans Syndicate account, which means even more hyped Vans kicks coming our way in the near future.

Talking about things happening at LE in the near future, the guys have put out a display of Jordan 1s in anticipation of a very “hush-hush” pair of re-retro 1s that is due to drop at the end of the year. Also on the Nike side, not receiving much news is the patent-leather Vandal High Womens, a surprise quickstrike drop as It’s been an extremely long time since any sort of limited women’s sneaker has been brought in.

Check out the pics of the rest of stuff below, and if you haven’t submitted your entry for our LE x Kikstyo x Yuko tee, then tomorrow’s your last day. Stay tuned for more prime cuts from around the region.

PRIME CUTS: Leftfoot, Far East Plaza

Saturday, October 4th, 2008

We pay a visit to Leftfoot, Far East Plaza, and asked teenage heartthrob Ah Tiong to single out some Prime Cuts to share with y’all. For those that like their kicks simple yet striking, the Converse All-Star Lows in shiny patent leather is a surefire way to break some necks. And for those that just want a super comfy pair of sneaks to kick about in, the worn-in feeling feel that this years batch of Vintage Nikes provide are just what the doctor ordered.

Also, with Ah Tiong being pretty much a seasoned ladies man, he drops some invaluable knowledge on what the girls are liking these days. The Vans ‘Abby’ boat shoe in smooth satin material is currently one of the most popular sellers - You buy your girl these, then you’ve also bought yourself the ‘Ah Tiong seal of guaranteed action’. Enough said!

Leftfoot, 14 Scotts Road, Far East Plaza, Singapore 225213.
