Next year, New Balance will be re-releasing their classic M850 running sneakers. Originally produced in 1991 at the legendary Flimby factory in England, the M850 model was one of the only performance shoes the company created that pulled together the full array of technologies available to them at the time.
The first design that will be hitting stores is a re-release of the OG white, pink and teal green colourway (Third and fourth picture below). Shortly after that, New Balance will release three more colourways that should have 90s running sneaker entusiasts all hot and bothered. Stay tuned for infomation about upcoming New Balance releases.
The OG M850 colourway re-release will hit selected stockists around South East Asia in February 2009, whilst the other colours will be available from March onwards.

Soon to be launched at Limited Edt is this batch of quality looking mono-colour Nikes. The solid block colour Dunk High Premiums have gained quite a bit of coverage around the net recently, unsurprising being that they’re a collaboration with American streetwear store Dave’s Quality Meat.
The Air Force One Low Supremes aren’t part of the collab, but are just as desirable nonetheless. The canvas material bears a coarse texture, which gives it a rather nice denim-like appearance, whilst the off-white accents and mid-soles combined with the gum outsoles make the kicks look really classy.
Don’t sleep, as all of these kicks are Tier Zero account releases!
The DQM Dunk HIgh Premiums and Air Force One Low Supremes is scheduled to drop on September 27th at Limited Edt stores across Singapore.

This pack of mighty whites from K-Swiss is the result of a collaboration with Julia Hederus that dates back to last year. Hederus approached K-Swiss to develop a collection of sneakers as part of her MA menswear collection for Central St.Martin’s College. The kicks were shown at the London Fashion Week early last year, and now K-Swiss will be releasing three of Hederus’ interpretations of K-Swiss classics in a limited run of 600 per pair.
Available in the coming months at selected K-Swiss stockists around South East Asia.

During the 80s, due to a lack of skateboarding sneakers, many skaters found solace in the Jordan 1s as their preferred kicks to ride in. This Fall/Winter ‘08, Brand Jordan will pay tribute to that period in sneaker history by releasing the Jordan 1 Low Phats - basically a low-cut Jordan 1 with additional padding. Of the six pairs that will be hitting stores over the next few months, we think the blues and reds, ripped straight from the OG high-tops, will be high on most collectors “to cop” list. Stay tuned for more information regarding availabilty within South East Asian.

Who’s the most influential person in streetwear for 2008? If we had a vote, it would go to Barack Obama, as his face has been plastered over more t-shirts, street art and accessories than we care to remember. Now with the United States presidential election 2008 nearing an end, it isn’t surprising to see even more tributes and showings of support.
Jimm Lasser created this pair of Obama Force Ones for his Dunk On McCain exhibition that opened yesterday at TYSON SPACE, Portland, Oregon. The customized kicks feature an engraved graphic of Obama on both soles, with the right pair bearing the message “A black man runs and a nation is behind him”.

The Jams Skidgrip Mid were Converse’ stab at the skate market back in the 80s, the upcoming re-release maintains the same low-profile and low-tech, but certainly doesn’t go low on colour. Dayglo, nu rave, clown shoes etc whatever people want to say, we’re just sure as hell that there aren’t any shortages of plain coloured slim-profile kicks lately, so in our books these are a very welcome release.

On August 31st, 2008, Malaysia celebrated it’s 51st Independence Day, long time followers of this website will know that it was also Streething’s third anniversary. No party? No event? No swapmeet? Forgive us as we’re going all out in order to get you the most exclusive news in the region, as well as working on several events in the not-to-distant future. So keep an eye out.
As a gift for us on our third birthday, Australian sneaker customizer Sekure D created this pair of Nike Dunk Lows in his signature splatter and graf style, whilst the cool blue colour is reminiscent of the oriignal Streething logo used when we were just operating as a forum. The kicks are a real surprise, as we weren’t expecting anything and we would like to thank Sekure and dedicate it to all the people that have supported us throughout the years.

Here’s the latest release from New Balance USA’s Super Team 33 series of kicks - the 998 Suit pack. The trio of sneakers sport design elements from classic formal men’s suits, as well as the accesories that go with them to complete the outfit. For instance, although the plain colours and pinstripes details are a no brainer, upon closer inspection one can see that luxurious looking croc skin is used on parts of the uppers, whilst the ends of the lace tips contain an imitation diamond. Although they probably won’t go too well with a three-piece suit, they do make for a very nice pack of kicks.
Available at selected New Balance stockists across South East Asia in September 2008.
