Streething would like to give a big shout-out to everyone that turned up for our first ALL IN THE FAMILY event. To all the regional peeps that made the long journey down to Kuala Lumpur; the performers that played their parts flawlessly; the helpers that came in at 2pm and left at 2am; our sponsors and partners; the huge media support before, during and after; every single person that turned up whether it was for 5 minutes or 5 hours… Thanks for coming over and being part of the family!
We really appreciate all the support, hope you all enjoyed yourselves and will be back for the next event…. but before we talk about that, lets have a brief recap of what went down on 16/02/08 Zouk, KL - ALL IN THE FAMILY.
The event kicked off outside the main entrance of Zouk, the skate demonstration was complemented by live graffiti installations.
Attack of The Killer Gerbil (SIngapore).
Touch my work and i’ll turn you into a kebab mate …
Darbotz (Indonesia) is DA BOSS!
Phobia Click crew (Malaysia).
Orkibal (Malaysia)
Shieko’s work, errr sorry we accidentally deleted the only good picture of her.
Preduce crew, all the way from Bangkok!
Kecik Ampang (Malaysia)
Wheel Love crew (Malaysia)

Merchandise peddler girl: Only 100 of each made yo, this is the shizz yo… you know you want some of this yo…
Strange looking potential buyer: Cool, but do you sell grapefruits by any chance?
Thank you come again! (…sucker)
Everybody loves Bearbricks!
Are the bears giving a concert? Whats up with the barricade?
Peeps really went crazy with their customs, a few random examples:
Kicks from the bowels of the Hypethetic dungeon.
A selection of custom made pieces art pieces.
So many buttons… so little time… must …. press … all…
Uncle Callen: Where you think you going boy? You don’t look like a videographer, what the hell you doing near my gear?
Me: Erm, bro look behind you! Theres a crazy person trying to flash you! (See, i wasn’t lying…. for once)
Music courtesy of DJ Blink and Ah Xu - AKA 5 Foot & Mr Puah AKA LAPSAP!
Its that time again, when Streething is in need of an emcee extraordinaire to host their event and they look towards East Malaysia for that one and only person…. as usual we cannot afford Daphne Iking, so we asked Chris (A self-proclaimed Borneo Headhunter) to do the job again.
MC Vandal, all the way from Canada, to Laos, to Australia and god knows where else his backpack and mic skills have taken him, hits a killer freestyle against a special compilation video of past Streething events.
After five minutes it cuts into the much talked about fashion show (Styled by Ethan), this ain’t no catwalk or KL fashion week … just a spot of fun. people on the scene dressing up in some of the latest gear available locally and showing people not to take themselves too seriously, just wear what you want and have fun doing it. Thats Streething!
Blackjetta in da HOUUUSE!!
Here comes the pain motherf***ers!! Nelson’s too sexy for his shirt!
U can’t touch Boundlezz!
After another five minutes, the Floor Fever Crew came out and literally jumped into their B-Boy routines.
Then comes the grand finale, what many have been waiting for… as soon as the Floor Fever Crew dispersed and the fashion show participants came out to take a bow, out comes Dave White, Mark Ong AKA SBTG and Tony Tay AKA Lazy. Dave worked on a live sketch of a dunk lo, using the SBTG customised Year Of The Rat Dunk Lo as a reference point. Big ups to Nike Malaysia for bringing Mr White to town and loaning him to make a presence in our event.
The Singaporean tag team put the finishing touches on a pair of dunk-hi customs.
Hey, the action didn’t stop there… out comes Vandal again for a freestyle commentary whilst the artists are at work.
OI! Thats blatant product placement! What a sellout!
On that note, we would like to thank Samung Mobile for being one of our main sponsors. In Malay, keluar means exit - so i guess the lovely ladies are trying to say if you’re not with Samsung, then you better get the f**k out!
Thanks to Heineken as well, without your support we would not have been able to get so wasted.
OK, enough of that. Check the media assault, great to see the scene getting such recognition these days.
You guys aren’t the only ones who want to take pics.
Eugene (Sole Obession/Singapore) presenting Dave with a gift from the Sole Obsession crew.
Those who bought a T-Shirt were entered into a lucky draw with Samsung phones as prizes.
Stand up and represent Kodomo Ninja crew!
And with that, the first Streething ALL IN THE FAMILY came to an end, cheers to everyone who made it and we hope you had a fun time!
