PRIME CUTS: Genesis BKK, Thailand

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

On our recent travels around Thailand, we stopped by Genesis, one of Bangkok’s finest independent sneaker stores. We asked the guys to pick out some of their favourites from the mounds of stock, and they broke out the Nike Air Max 90 Current in the infrared colourway, as well as four pairs of Converse. It’s easy to get lost in the mountain of releases that are coming from Converse lately, but it’s hard to argue with such quality as the leather snake skin and camo print Jack Purcells. Stay tuned for more Prime Cuts from around the region.

Genesis BKK, 444, First Floor, 1B41 MBK Center, Phayathai Rd, BWangmai Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330; T +66(0)26260459.

NEWS: Killer Gerbil brush tag wallpaper

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Luthfi Mustafah, known to most by his Killer Gerbil alter ego, has probably bombed more locations - both legal and not - than we care to remember. This time around, he wants to tag your electronic products, but without actually breaking out any paint. Okay, he was actually bored and had nothing to do so he created this wallpaper for your desktop, iPhone and PSP.

Here’s the sizes: 320 x 480; 480 x 272; 1280 x 800; 1280 x 1024; 1440 x 900; 1680 x 1050; 1920 x 1200.

And if you want to make his day, snap a pic of how you’re using it and mail it to him. While you’re at it, tell him Streething sent you!

NEWS: adidas Y-3 Fall/Winter ‘08

Monday, September 8th, 2008

Here are some new items from the adidas Y-3 Fall/Winter ‘08 collection, we find the use of double layers and zippers on the hoody and boots rather interesting. Designer Yohji Yamamoto fuses classic sportswear apparel with elements of high fashion and douses them in a generous serving of monotone black to create a casual-yet-edgy look. Simple and functional, but with just enough subtle style to make a statement - we are liking it and guess that quite of few of you will too.

adidas Y-3 is available at M Store, The Gardens, Mid Valley, Malaysia; Blackjack, Forum Shopping Mall, Singapore; and Blackjack, Erawan Bangkok, Thailand.
