Sole Obsession the Video

Monday, September 17th, 2007

Before Sole Obsession’s quest to be Singapore’s purveyor of sneaker gatherings and parties, a couple of members joined forces to put together a video that captures this world of sneaker collecting at it’s peak.

“Showcasing the seldom seen and documented, but no less passionate, side of the sneaker collecting subculture, this documentary allows the audince a peek into the world of the true sneaker collectors…no multi-millionaire celebrity sneakerheads here folks. Haunted by the nostalgia and memories of their sneaker past, sneaker collectors go to great lengths to satisfy their insatiable obsession.

This is their craving, their desires, their lives…their Sole Obsession.”

Streething is currently assisting Nike to execute a very interesting project which is to customize the 400% Nike Windrunner Be@rbrick for Nike’s upcoming Windrunner Campaign.

All we need you talented and creative people to do are the following: -

1) Just customize the be@rbrick without blocking out the chevron (V) design on the front, or the Nike logo.

2) You have to pick up the be@rbrick from 17th September onward and return them by 26th September.

3) This is a joint effort therefore there’s no payment. Tt’s a great exposure as your work will be displayed at various Nike stores during the Nike Windrunner campaign.

Please email your profile to info@streething.com if you are interested in taking part. Restricted to Malaysian Residents ONLY. First come first serve.

Com-Raid x Concetps - Edo G

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

edog-white.jpgedog-black.jpg

Com-Raid has done a exclusive collaboration tee for Concepts, Boston with Edo G on an adidas inspired signature rectangle design. This is to pay tribute to Boston Hip Hop legend - Edo G.

I decided to roll with someone that is legendary in terms of Boston hip-hop… nah, fuck that, hip-hop in general, Edo G. Edo G. dropped his first album in 1991 called Life of a Kid in the Ghetto, when he was still ED O.G. and rolled with the Bulldogs. You remember the joints “I Got to Have it” , “Be A Father To Your Child” and “Bug-A-Boo” (which Destiny’s Child went on to later steal).

As a kid, seeing someone that was where I was from on YO! MTV Raps was so inspiring. He represented for us and now we represent for him. Ed is now a member of the Boston hip-hop group Special Teamz that has recently signed with Duck Down Records (home of Boot Camp Click) which includes Slaine from La Coka Nostra.

Available only at Concepts at the end of September.
