Last Friday, adidas Malaysia showcased the Sounds of The City collection with a banging invite-only party at RAW, Kuala Lumpur. The Sounds of the City collection pays tribute to the birthplaces of major musical icons, such as Detroit (Motown) and Queens (Jam Master Jay). To accompany the fashion show, our own local music icons, Lapsap (DJ Blink & Ah Xu), Altimet, DIna and Syko G, were roped in to put their unique spin on the genres being celebrated.
A few lucky peeps walked away with cash vouchers for dressing up in the night’s “Best Sound of the City inspired get-up”. The other 200+ attendees that won squat took solace at the bar and drank dry a ridiculously generous freeflow tab. So technically, almost everyone that came walked away with something, check the pics and guess who went home with a hangover.
Parts of the Sounds of the City collection are now available at adidas Originals Pavilion KL and Suria KLCC as well as selected stockists throughout South East Asia.

Azrin Ismail takes us on a journey through the notorious Pudu Jail in his latest photography exhibition, titled LIVE ANIMALS INSIDE! Azrin’s photographic diary is the result of spending two and a half months observing the vacated prison. He connects with the former occupants through the markings they left behind, capturing them in a series of 50 pictures that provide an insight into the minds of the inmates during their time served. Azrin empathizes with the souls that left their final words engraved on the walls and wishes to give them a voice that otherwise would pass unheard.
LIVE ANIMALS INSIDE! will be exhibited from 13th May - 2nd June 2008 at Wei-Ling Gallery, No. 8, Jalan Scott, Brickfields, 50470 Kuala Lumpur (+603 2260 1106/7).

Normally, when people do white camouflage, they usually incorporate several shades of white, grey and black into the design mix. However, these new Gazelle 2 camo’s from adidas use embossed etchings to outline the camouflage pattern on all-white uppers. The result is a clean pair of kicks with subtle details only revealed upon closer inspection.

Kanye rocked a new colourway of his much talked about signature Nikes - dubbed the Air Yeezy - during his new Glow in the Dark tour. The kicks combine retro and modern basketball sneaker design elements, yet manage to refrain from appearing like a hybrid shoe. Kudo’s to Mr West for not taking the safe bet by going with an all-retro/high-end design.
Kanye has stated that the kicks will see a retail release, but a date has yet to be confirmed.

Powered by Google Maps, Street Art Locator allows users to upload location markers, details and pictures of any type of street art that they’ve spotted. The website, designed by artist/web designer Andy Clark, launched on Monday and has already received numerous location tags mainly from users in the West. So what are you all waiting for?
