Soon to be released; the third installment of Stussy Customade’s ‘Our Gangs’ series of t-shirts will feature the works of artists Alexis Ross, Estevan Oriol, Peter Bagge and Will Sweeney. Previous releases in the series saw contributions from artists such as Mister Cartoon, DELTA and Rob Abeyta; the diverse line-up of established talent has given rise to a collection that adheres to a single theme, yet offers heaps of variety.

Straight out the Innovation Kitchen - Nike’s development lab for unconventional ideas - is the Air Rejuven8; a shoe that is specifically engineered to help tired feet recuperate in anticipation for the next bout of activity - perfect for athletes/those with active lifestyles to wear in-between sports.

The shoe’s design is specially formulated to increase comfort and breathability whilst being as light as possible; fusing elements of various Nike technologies - such as Considered, Presto, Free and the made-for-space Zvezdockha - towards the next evolutionary step in sneaker design. The result is a lightweight-rubber outer-skeleton with the flexibility of Free technology, with an inner-bootie that can be worn without socks to increase airflow.

Being a performance sneaker that does not focus on actual “On-field” performance, the Air Rejuven8 has garnered much attention since being announced; with positive responses from athletes and people just looking for a pair of shoes for general use, it looks like Nike has just done it - again.

To promote the release of their latest album, When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold, American rappers Atmosphere have come up with an interactive program that allows you to tag your website of choice with an array of sprays, markers and stencils. All you have to do is enter the url link to the page you wish to bomb, then the program takes a screen capture of it and you get to legally deface the subject as you please.

After Sneaker Freaker resurrected the Blaze of Glory model from PUMA’s archives, many wondered if the model would be a keeper in PUMAs line-up; then Sneaker Freaker 12 dropped and we copped an eyeful of the stunning black/teal joints that Woody and co managed to keep under wraps for so long: so is the Blaze of Glory here to stay?

That we can’t say, but we can tell you that they will see a more general release with these graffiti-inspired designs this coming Fall/Winter. The kicks feature an all-over graphic print - which Sort of Reminds us of the Josh Wisdumb New Balance 574’s from a couple of years back - and spray paint-like speckles on parts of the midsoles.

A South East Asian release date has yet to be confirmed, stay tuned for more information.

For the upcoming Hellboy movie sequel, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, adidas have teamed up with Universal Pictures to release a Hellboy-themed pack that consists of a Forum and Stan Smith Mid. Both pairs feature Hellboy’s signature colours as well as various logos and graphics; they will also come in a special shoe box. The pack is set to drop around July 2008 in limited quantities.

As the media all over the world have reported or still reporting on the Nike NSW Beijing event, we at Streething are doing a post dedicating to the people we have seen and met during our trip. They definitely add more colour and fun to the event and our trip!!

Remember Streething’s All in the Family? Remember Dave White’s live sketching alongside SBTG and Lazy’s live sneaker-customizing? I guess if you do, then you will no doubt recognize the guy pictured above, MC Vandal, for the marathon freestyle-rap that he brought to the event; keeping heads bobbing up and down whilst the artists worked away.

The Canadian backpack-rapper, currently based in KL, seems to have been on a long hiatus; however, he is finally back to school all of you on the rap game, literally, as his upcoming Skool of Rap series of workshops is designed to help aspiring talents build up their flow, technique and confidence.

Skool of Rap is conducted every Thursday from 6-9pm at Mizz Nina’s Singing Shop, Amcorp Mall, for the entire month of June 2008.
