The Simpsons intro directed by Banksy
The "Couch Gag", as it has become known, is one of The Simpsons signature hallmarks. Since way back, each episode has opened with a modified intro, with some variations being longer and more grand than others.
For their latest episode (MoneyBART, Season 22, Episode 03), they roped in controversial UK street artist Banksy to rework the iconic opening sequence.
Apart from having his name tagged on various spots, he helps the guys behind the Simpsons take a huge swing at their network, 20th Century Fox.
It is far from the first time and it definitely won’t be the last, but with Banksy’s name attached it will probably get the much more media coverage than the other potshots made over the years.
Check out the video, which takes a stab at the show’s "open secret" of being animated in Korea, as well as other Simpsons goods being mass produced in Asian countries.
