Kicks Hawaii just got the Robert Williams for Vans Vault Chukka 69 LX and they are too good looking not to be blogged though we have no idea where to cop them in South East Asia. Robert Williams is the controversial painter, who is well noted for his painting for the cover of Guns and Roses “Appetite for Destruction” album, which raised so much controversy that the record label moved the art to the inside cover. Transformers the Movie has taken the world by storm and the movie related products are everywhere to be seen. Little that many know, B.Bot Defense System (BBDS) has actually started these bots logo tees way before the movie was being produced. The designers at BBDS derived their ideas from the things that they liked growing up like Transformers and X-Men. Nike and Riottt.com have collaborated to create an exclusive online community dedicated to the Air Force 1 sneaker: www.riottt.com/af1
This community takes advantage of RIOTTT’s The Wire and Nike’s 1Thology project that celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Nike AF1 – where Nike picked they’re top 25 AF1’s.

Nike and Riottt now want to know what you think about both these top 25 AF1’s. On the website, there are profiles for each shoe as well as 5 other sneaker culture topic profiles for discussion:

Nike has teamed up with New York graffiti artist and fashion designer CLAW Money for a limited release Blazer sneaker, to be released this summer at select retail accounts. The style will feature an eyelet pattern that is feminine, graphic, and subtly incorporates CLAW’s three taloned “mark”. Colorways will include Zest/White and Pink Fire, Flame Red/White and Ice Blue, and Black on Black with Anthracite. “I thought the Blazer would be a perfect canvas since it’s the brand’s first sneaker for playing basketball.”

The Blazer collaboration with CLAW Money is the first in a two-part series. Next, Nike and CLAW Money team up to launch a limited edition of the Vandal Hi debuting in October. You can score them at Limited Edition Singapore by end of July.

Pirate Utopias is an exhibition of new works by renowned Brooklyn based artists Futura and Joe Parla. The event runs from July 6th to 28th, 2007.

The exhibition is held at the: Elms Lesters Painting Rooms, down at Flitcroft Street, London.
