With Sergio Rossi, Alexander McQueen and Mihara Yasuhiro all working on lines for PUMA, the brand with the jumping cat must feel that they don’t have enough high-fashion designers collaborating with them, thus these new high-tops courtesy of YSL. This Saturday, Lapsap aka DJ Blink and DJ XU will release their first ever mix, titled “Lapsap Fruity CD – Durian and Mangosteen”. The track list hasn’t been revealed yet, but we guess it’ll a strong mixture of electro volts, heavy basslines, erratic indie, messy mash-ups and possibly some old-school cantopop ballad thrown in for good measure.

The launch party will also see the Lapsap boys go where few local DJs dare to and play a marathon 4-hour set, which they plan to do at least once a month now. Anyhow, Durian and Mangosteen will be a double-disc special and come with two button-badges, so for RM33 show some support this Saturday and leave the torrenting strictly for porn – see you all there!

The Lapsap CD launch will start at 10.30pm on April 18th at Barsonic, Zouk Club KL, 113 Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Admission is RM20 for girls and RM30 for guys (Inclusive of one drink), whilst Barsonic Facebook Group members get in for free before 11pm.

UK high street fashion label Topman have invited several fashion designers to collaborate on a the Topman White Tee Project, which will see new life being breathed into the staple garment. The featured designers consist of Richard Chai, J.W. Anderson, Phillip Lim, Juun J., Christopher Shannon and Henry Holland, and the collection will be available at the Topman online store from May 28th, 2009.

Here’s Stussy’s Summer ‘09 collection, which includes tees designed by Dondi White and Savage Pencil. In conjunction with Stussy Toronto’s first anniversary celebrations, they will be releasing two limited edition tees featuring local retailers  Sam The Record Man and Honest Ed’s.

Nike’s classic Cortez model was recently subjected to a rather tech-laden revamp, known as the Nike Cortez Fly Motion, that fuses several key Nike technologies to provide stability, flexibility and comfort. Then of course there was the whole Cortez Brothers animation thing that showed although there’s “new”, the “old” will not be forgotten and the two will live harmoniously on retail shelves.

However, we’d be lying if we said that the recent campaign for the Classic and Fly Motion were equal, as it’s obvious little brother benefited from a more liberal use of colour palettes. However, we’re finally seeing some colour in the Classic Cortez this year, with these orange and blue colourways comming out for the summer. Oh ya, they’re Nylon too – tasty indeed.

Previously, Obey and record label Stereo collaborated to produce a skatedeck, which was launched during a release party at Dance Right, LA. In conjunction with the event, the labels have teamed up again to release a limited edition poster and tee designed by Shepard Fairey and Matt Goldman.

The prints and tees sold out and mostly given away during the party, but Obey has managed to keep a few of their share in hand which is going to be released at their online store soon. So Obey fans, heads up and start stalking the online store.

We have previously seen the Missouri and the Revan 3 Hi, the first two models released under the Lacoste Myth VS Legend pack. Now, another two models have been revealed – the Lacoste Ogata (above) and Rene (pictured after the jump). The Ogata model which represents India, is inspired by Hinduism and Indian textiles, whilst the Lacoste Rene Japan is inspired by silk kimonos.
