Feisty female streetwear brand Married To The Mob has just released pictures from their Fall ‘08 lookbook. Their trademark use of ‘alluring imagery’ is evident as ever, whilst new items such as the denim and cut and sew pieces show the brand diversifying. Those interested can purchase the collection now at the MOB online store.

It has become quite common practice for the more fashionable high street establishments to enlist the help of internationaly reknown designers to work on more “edgy” collections. When executed properly, such collaborations often result in pieces that we wouldn’t normally find on their racks, whilst also injecting a healthy dose of credibility at the same time.
For the upcoming H&M store opening in Tokyo, the Swedish brand have managed to rope in Rei Kawakubo of Commes des Garcons to create this collection of garments – bringing a touch of high fashion to the high street. Hopefully H&M will decide to bring their blend of affordable prices and of-the-moment fashion to South East Asia sometime in the near future.

Anything Goes, Anything Shows! That would be Palate Palette’s monthly Thursday night film screening, dedicated to showing whatever tickles their fancy. It could be one of this year’s blockbusters, a classic romantic comedy, or the more independent and less commercial releases that seldom get shown here.
The next screening will be Earthlings, a a feature length documentary about our absolute dependence on animals, yet at the same time our complete disrespect for these non-human lifeforms. The film will be shown in the cozy lounge area upstairs and entry is free. The good people at Palate Palette will even provide curry and seaweed popcorn for you to munch on, what more can they do? Just remember to show some appreciation by silencing your phone once the film starts.
Earthlings will screen at 9pm, August 21st, 2008, at Palate Palette, 21 Jalan Mesui, Off Jalan Nagasari, 50200 Kuala Lumpur; T +603 2142 2148.

As much as we admire the efforts and results of the much hyped adidas AZX series, we have always found that some of the best ZX colourways have been the ones that dropped quietly when no one was looking. This rather fetching pair of ZX 800 has all the hallmarks of a sleeper hit, yet we fear it’s destined to get lost in translation due to multiple reasons ranging from A to Z. Well, if that’s the case, at least it’s one less pair of kicks to fight over.
Available in the coming months at selected adidas Originals stockists across South East Asia.

On the road again pretty much sums up Tonite’s new collection. The brand has been off the radar for a while, but this new mix of male and female attire show that they haven’t lost their touch. Know It Nothing, Singapore, has just become an official stockist of the brand, and will be receiving shipment of the collection soon. Stay tuned for more information.
