- ABZORB THE COMPETITION: NEW BALANCE’S 2010 AND 2000 ARE YOUR FEET’S NEW BEST FRIENDS
There’s a quiet confidence that comes with a New Balance release. No loud slogans, no forced statements. Just some of the best sneakers your feet could ever ask for - form, function, and that familiar sense of purpose that comes from knowing you are in perfectly cushioned hands, or in this case, feet. The ABZORB 2010 and 2000 might share the same sole technology, but their personalities couldn’t be more different. Before both pairs came along, ABZORB cushioning was already part of New Balance’s story. It was the brand’s top-of-the-line foam through the late 90s and early 2000s, known for its plush yet responsive feel underfoot. Later, ABZORB SBS technology refined that legacy even further, using an engineered non-cellular elastomer designed to provide optimal shock absorption and resist compression over time. It became one of those quiet innovations that runners never forgot, and it returns here with purpose. The ABZORB 2010 feels like a conversation with an old friend. The kind who still wears their 990s on weekends and knows the subtle differences between suede shades. Its shape recalls the structured calm of early 2000s runners, with nubuck and synthetic overlays that feel purposeful rather than decorative. You get a mix of breathable mesh, layered leather, and sharp, defined lines that echo popular models from New Balance lore. It’s the kind of shoe that rewards attention and comfort with its ABZORB midsole, meant for those who care about lineage and detail, no trendy flat-soled footwear here. The ABZORB 2000 carries a different energy. It stretches the same performance DNA into something progressive and less predictable. The full-length ABZORB sole unit gives it an almost sculptural quality, like the upper was built around motion itself. Textures collide: glossy synthetics meet open mesh, printed overlays meet molded forms. It looks forward, less about nostalgia and more about experimental evolution.. Where the 2010 leans toward refinement, the 2000 explores movement. Both carry the New Balance identity, just expressed through different design paths. So, which one is for you? Well, with New Balance’s renowned comfort level and timeless style, both the ABZORB 2010 and 2000 are in our regular rotation, and up there with some of the best new sneaker models released this year. The New Balance ABZORB 2010 and 2000 are available online and at selected New Balance store and lifestyle retailers.

- INSIDE NEW BALANCE RUN HUB: THE FIRST IN SOUTHEAST ASIA
Kuala Lumpur just got something new for runners, and it’s not just another store. New Balance has opened its first Run Hub in Southeast Asia at Suria KLCC, a space built around movement, connection, and the idea that running should feel accessible to everyone. Think of it as part clubhouse, part performance lab. The New Balance Run Hub is a place where runners can meet, test shoes, get their feet scanned, or simply hang out before and after a run. You can store your bag, loan a pair of shoes for a loop around KLCC Park, or get your stride analysed with a 3D foot scanner that helps match you to the right pair. Following the concept’s success in Japan and China, the KL edition brings that same spirit of connection to the region. It’s a space designed for flow, open, clean, and quietly energetic. You’ll find the usual performance gear, but also corners that make you want to linger and talk about your next run instead of rushing out. It’s a community spot that treats running as more than a sport, something social, mindful, and deeply human. On offer is the full spectrum of New Balance's most popular running footwear, from everyday trainers (Fresh Foam 1080X and 860, FuelCell Rebel) to race day favourites (FuelCell SuperComp series), alongside a range of apparels and accessories for you to get geared up. To celebrate the opening, the Run Hub is hosting two weeks of community runs, creative activations, and small surprises from 1 to 16 November. Visitors can create their own digital avatars, join group sessions around the park, or just stop by to grab a cold drink and connect with fellow runners. Once the celebrations wrap up, the Run Hub stays active year-round. Services like bag storage, daily shoe trials, and 3D foot scanning will always be available, simple touches that make it easier for anyone to step into running at their own pace. And for those curious about what’s next in the lineup, the space also previews the Fresh Foam X 1080v15, New Balance’s newest take on comfort and performance. The shoe features a new Infiniōn midsole foam for better cushioning and energy return, built for everything from morning jogs to marathon miles. We know runners aren't normal, and the New Balance Run Hub is built to meet you wherever you are, however you run. New Balance Run Hub, Suria KLCC Lot 153-155, First Floor, Suria KLCC Kuala Lumpur City Centre, 50088 Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Open daily, 10AM to 10PM
